FLK Family Picnic

We’re heading back to Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva, NY, for our annual New Member family picnic (all members are, of course, welcome!), and this one’s shaping up to be a blast. We’ve locked in the Boathouse Pavilion (#004), ours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Park entry is $8 per car, paid at the gate by each member.

🌽 Cornhole Competition! Grab a partner and get ready to compete — there may or may not be awards. When you register, be sure to note CORNHOLE so we have a count and can build some brackets. And if you’ve got a Cornhole set that fits in your P-Car, bring it along!

A few good-to-knows:

• Chow’s on us for the main course! Our fearless president Craig — that’s him by the smokeless grill in the event photo, explaining to Val the nuances of fire starting — will be manning the grill, cranking out burgers and dogs.
• It’s a potluck! Break out that classic family summertime recipe — the one that gets the oohs and ahhs — and sign up on the “This Is What I’m Bringing” sheet so we know what’s coming. That way everyone can self-moderate and we don’t end up with 30 dozen brownies and no napkins!
• You don’t have to be a chef. There’s plenty we need that anyone can bring.
• Alcohol-free event — it’s a NYS park and we won’t have a permit.
• Electrical outlets are available for any food warmers or crockpots you want to bring.

And as always, we’re looking for a few folks who can lend a hand with setup before the event. Want to help? Just let us know!

Rain or shine! If the day turns damp, we’ll move the fun into the pavilion — so don’t let the weather be a downer. Come on out and bring a fun indoor game to share (just not Monopoly — the event isn’t long enough for that one!).
