Sister Cities event at Watkins Glen International:

Date: Tuesday September 23rd.

Time: 11am

Corning City School District is hosting 8 students from Italy as part of their Sister City exchange program.  Watkins Glen International has offered to provide pace laps for the students at 12 noon when driving events break for lunch.  We are looking for  8 cars with drivers to take these students out for the laps.  No track experience is needed, as this will be much like the Glen’s opening day event.  We will meet at 11 for introductions and driver meeting, and will be on track shortly after noon.  As a thank you, drivers are invited to a catered lunch and reception at the Glen Club afterward, which will end by 2pm.

If we are over-subscribed I will step aside since I’ve been on track already this year.  If we are undersubscribed I can drum up some extras from outside the region.

Thank you all who volunteered for this event. We have closed the registration because we have reached our goal of  8 members volunteering. If any of the 8 members have an issue where they no longer can   meet their obligation, please let Dave Pitbladdo (pit@stny.rr.com) or Paul Corter (pacorter@gmail.com) know as soon as possible so we can fill the empty slot.
